Banjar Hot Spring

Centuries-old sacred hot springs near Lovina, where warm sulphur water pours from carved stone dragons into jungle-fringed bathing pools.

The Experience

The Springs

Warm Water from Carved Nagas

At Air Panas Banjar, warm sulphur-rich water pours from carved stone dragon (naga) mouths into a series of stone bathing pools. Ease in and let the mineral water work on tired muscles - it has drawn bathers here for generations.

The Setting

A Jungle Garden Bath

The pools sit in a lush, shaded garden of frangipani and tropical plants, a short walk from the road. It's peaceful and photogenic - equal parts soak and stroll, and a world away from the busy south.

Good to Know

Between Dolphins and the Trek

It slots perfectly between the Lovina sunrise dolphins and the Sekumpul trek: a warm-up after the boat and a loosen-up before the climb. Bring swimwear and a towel - changing rooms and a small cafe are on site.
