Walk among more than a thousand birds from across Indonesia and the world, at Bali's famous bird park just south of Ubud - landscaped aviaries, daily free-flight shows, and up-close encounters the whole family will love.
Set across landscaped tropical gardens, the park is home to hundreds of species - from the rare Bali starling and colourful parrots to hornbills, pelicans, and the towering cassowary. Several walk-in aviaries let you stroll right through, with birds flying and perching all around you.
Throughout the day there are free-flight bird shows, birds-of-prey displays, and feeding sessions on a set schedule. You can also have a macaw, owl, or hornbill perch on your arm for a photo - a highlight for kids and grown-ups alike.
Paths are mostly flat and shaded, so it's comfortable for kids and grandparents, and stroller-friendly. Allow around two to three hours. There's a cafe on site, and it pairs perfectly with Bali Zoo right next door for a full family day out.
