Bali Bird Park sits in Singapadu, south of Ubud, with more than 1,000 birds across landscaped walk-in aviaries. It runs daily free-flight shows and feeding sessions, and paths are mostly flat and shaded. Allow two to three hours.
Open since the mid-1990s, Bali Bird Park is set across landscaped tropical gardens and home to hundreds of species, from the rare Bali starling and colourful parrots to hornbills, pelicans, and the tall cassowary. Several walk-in aviaries let you stroll right through, with birds flying and perching around you.
Through the day there are free-flight bird shows, birds-of-prey displays, and feeding sessions on a set schedule, so it is worth checking the times when you arrive. You can also have a macaw, owl, or hornbill perch on your arm for a photo, which tends to be a favourite with children.
Paths are mostly flat, shaded, and stroller-friendly, so it is comfortable for young children and older visitors alike. Allow around two to three hours, and there is a cafe on site. It sits next door to Bali Zoo, so the two pair easily into a single family day out from Ubud.
