A powerful jungle waterfall with a natural swimming pool, minutes from Ubud.
Tegenungan is a wide, powerful waterfall set in the jungle just south of Ubud, with a natural pool at its base where you can swim. It's one of the few major Bali waterfalls with easy access - a short walk down from the car park, and a genuinely refreshing reward after a morning of temples.
Viewpoints along the top let you take it all in before you head down; at the bottom, the spray, the roar of the water, and the cool pool make it a favourite spot to unwind. Bring a swimsuit if you fancy a dip - it's the kind of place you don't want to rush.
