Bali's iconic stepped rice fields and a working coffee plantation, just north of Ubud.
The Tegalalang rice terraces are among Bali's most photographed landscapes - steep, sculpted paddies carved into the valley over generations and still watered by the island's thousand-year-old subak irrigation system, recognised by UNESCO. Right beside the fields, a working plantation grows coffee, cacao, and spices, where you can walk the grounds and taste a full flight of local brews - including the famous kopi luwak - straight from the source.
What makes it special is that it's still a living farm, not just a viewpoint. Local families tend the slopes by hand and share water through the communal subak system that has shaped Balinese life for centuries.
