East Bali Tour

The wild, regal side of the island - the Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang, the royal water palace of Tirta Gangga, snorkeling in clear coastal water, and Bali's holiest temple on the slopes of Mount Agung.

What You'll Visit

Stop 1

Lempuyang Temple - Gates of Heaven

Bali's most photographed split gate, framing Mount Agung on a clear morning. We arrive early to beat the queue, and your guide will handle the ticket, sarong, and the famous mirror photo so you don't waste half the day waiting in line.

Stop 2

Tirta Gangga Water Palace

A former royal garden built around tiered fountains and koi-filled pools, with stepping stones you can walk across the water on. Peaceful, green, and endlessly photogenic - one of East Bali's most underrated stops.

Stop 3

Snorkeling in East Bali

Swap temples for the sea - the calm, clear waters of East Bali are some of the best snorkeling on the island, with coral gardens and colourful reef fish just a short swim from shore. Gear is provided, and it suits complete beginners. A refreshing break in the middle of the day.

Stop 4

Besakih - The Mother Temple

Bali's largest and holiest temple complex, built in terraces up the slope of Mount Agung. More than 20 temples in one sanctuary, still the spiritual centre of the island after a thousand years. Sarong and guide included.
