South Bali Tour

Limestone cliffs, white-sand beaches, and a temple hanging over the Indian Ocean. The day builds toward a fire dance at sunset and dinner with your feet in the sand at Jimbaran Bay.

What You'll Visit

Stop 1

Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK)

One of the tallest statues on earth - Lord Vishnu riding the mythical Garuda, standing 121 metres above a limestone cultural park. Taller than the Statue of Liberty, and it took 28 years to finish. Impressive up close in a way photos never quite capture.

Stop 2

Melasti Beach

You reach it by driving down a road carved straight through a limestone cliff - the approach alone is worth it. At the bottom: turquoise water, white sand, and towering white walls on either side. One of the cleanest beaches in the south.

Stop 3

Padang Padang Beach

A small cove reached by squeezing down a staircase through a gap in the rocks. Famous from Eat Pray Love, loved by surfers, and genuinely beautiful - a pocket of sand hemmed in by cliffs and clear water.

Stop 4

Uluwatu Cliff Temple

A thousand-year-old sea temple balanced on a cliff 70 metres above the ocean, with a clifftop path that gives you the best view in South Bali. Keep your sunglasses tucked away - the resident monkeys here are famously skilled thieves.

Stop 5

Kecak Fire Dance at Sunset

In an open-air amphitheatre on the cliff edge, fifty men chant in unison while the Ramayana plays out around a ring of fire - with the sun setting into the ocean behind the stage. It's the single most memorable hour on this tour. We book your seat in advance.

Stop 6

Jimbaran Bay Seafood Dinner

Tables set right on the sand, grilled fish and prawns over coconut husk, and the lights of the bay curving away in the dark. The classic way to end a day in the south - we'll take you to a warung where the locals eat, not the tourist traps.

Stop 7

Pandawa Beach

Once called "Secret Beach" because it was hidden behind a limestone ridge, now reached through a dramatic cut in the cliff lined with giant carved statues. Calm water, wide sand, and space to actually breathe. A good swim stop before the afternoon.
